Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport
Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport is an airport serving Malang, the second-largest city in East Java province of Indonesia. This airport is named after Abdul Rachman Saleh (1909-1947), an Indonesian aviator and physiologist whose aircraft was shot down by the Dutch while landing in Maguwo Airfield, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, during the Indonesian National Revolution. In addition to functioning as a commercial airport, the facility is also a Type A airbase of the Indonesian Air Force. It serves as the primary base for the 4th, 21st, and 32nd Air Squadrons.
